Random House Paperbacks
(Silhouette Edition)

The silhouette edition paperbacks represented Random House's first general release of all the available titles in paperback format. The name "Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators" was put into a oval shape surrounding a silhouette of Alfred Hitchcock in the upper right corner of the cover, making it less prominent. Cover art for these books was provided by Robert Adragna.

The typesetting in the books generally remained the same as the original hardbacks; however, internal illustrations were included in only a few of the stories, such as "Stuttering Parrot" and "Laughing Shadow.".
