Random House Paperbacks Beginning in 1998, Random House began the process to again publish the Three Investigators mysteries in paperback format. New artwork for the cover was drawn (making the boys seem younger than ever), and new typesetting was done to give the books a new feel. Only the books through "Talking Skull" will be issued in this format, and Random House has reverted the rights to the series back to the heirs of Robert Arthur. Therefore, these books are now out of print and can only be obtained through secondhand sources.
