This illustration (Harry Kane's illustration on left, Roger
Hall's illustration on right) show similar but not identical
scenes. Kane's illustration shows Mr. Claudius threatening Bob
and Pete with a serpentine dagger while Hall's illustration shows
the boys discussing how to unravel the mysterious messages that
the parrots utter.
NOTE: Kane's illustration actually shows Jupe and Pete when it should be Bob and Pete.
